Igneous Rocks
Igneous rocks are formed by magma and lava. The rock name " igneous " comes from the Latin root word, " ignis " actually meaning fire. Many igneous rocks are formed with mineral crystals. Igneous rocks are classified by, Origin, Texture, and Mineral Composition.
Many geologists classify igneous rocks depending to where they have been formed. Rocks called an " Extrusive Rocks " is a type of igneous rock formed by lava that has been erupted onto Earth's surface. A rock named the" Basalt " is the most common extrusive rock. The texture of an igneous rock depends on the size and the shape of the rocks mineral crystals. Many igneous rocks are similar in the mineral compositions, but the textures may be very different ; Roughness & Softness . In the mineral composition the silica content of magma and lava affects how easily the magma and/or lava will flow.
Many different countries, and cultures have many different uses of igneous rocks. Lots of igneous rocks are hard, dense, and durable. Many people then and now have used igneous rocks for tools, and many building materials. In Egypt, ancient Egyptians made a statue of a couple with the traditional crowns, and the spouse has Egyptian symbols. The texture of an igneous rock may be fine-grained, coarse-grained, glassy, or porphyrictics

Sedimentary Rocks
At Arches National Park in Utah contains many "strange" scenery on Earth. The park contains dozens of natural arches sculpted in colorful rock that is exactly layered just like a birthday cake. The layers of this arch is red, orange, pink, and/or tan. Sedimentary rocks form from particles deposited by water and wind. At the beach when you walk along a stream, you may notice tiny sand grains, mud, and pebbles. Sediment is small, solid pieces of material that comes from solid pieces of material that come from rocks or living things. During the erosion steps, destructive forces are constantly breaking up and wearing away all the rocks on Earth's surface. These forces include heat and cold, rain, waves, and also "grinding ice". Then, in the deposition step, the moving water or wind slows and then deposits the sediment rock. if the water is carrying the sediment, rock fragments and all the other materials will sink to the bottom of the water source: (lake/ocean). Next, in the compaction step, first, the sediments fit together. But, over 1,000,000's of years, thick layers of sediment build up. Finally, in the the cementation is taking place, all the minerals in the rock slowly dissolve in the water. The dissolved minerals seep into the spaces between particles of sediment.
Metamorphic Rocks
The heat and pressure deep way beneath Earth's surface can change any type of rock into a metamorphic rock. When the rock changes into metamorphic, its appearance, texture, crystal structure, and mineral content change. When metamorphic rocks are forming, high temperatures change the size and shape of the grains, or mineral crystals, in the rock. In an addition, tremendous pressure squeezes rock so tightly that the mineral grains may line up in flat, parallel layers. Metamorphic rocks that have their grains join together in parallel layers or bands that are said to be called "foliated". Marble and slate are one of the two of most useful metamorphic rocks. Marble is a rock that usually forms when limestone is subjected to heat and pressure deep beneath the surface. An emperor of India had the famous structure " Taj Mahal " built during the 1600"s as a loving memorial to his wife, who had died in the procedure of childbirth.
