The Rock cycle
This rock cycle explain how rocks could turn into other rocks.Sedimentary could turn into Metamorphic Rocks and Metamorphic could turn into Igneous rock. The heat and pressure is the thing that change the kinds of rocks.http://geoscience.wisc.edu/~chuck/Classes/Mtn_and_Plates/rock_cycle.html
Here a another rock cycle if you are confused of the other rocks cycle :)
Igneous Rock
The igneous rock such as basalt and pumice and obsidian are important to use.The first rocks to form on earth probably looked much like the igneous rocks that harden from lava today.Igneous rock is any rock that forms from magma or lava. The name igneous comes from the latin word ignis meaning "fire".How does Igneous rock form?Igneous rock are formed by cooling down magma\lava. Theres are a lot of different kinds of igneous rock.Theres Intrusive rock and Extrusive.Extrusive rock is igneous rock formed from lava that erupted onto Earth surface.Intrusive rock is igneous rock that formed when magma hardened beneath Earths surface.Basalt is most common extrusive rock.Basalt form much from the forms include the oceanic crust shield volcanoes and lava plateaus.Granite is the most abundant intrusive rock in continental crust.that granite batholiths form the core of many mountain ranges.

Sedimentary Rock
Another rock is an Sedimentary rock. Its form from particles deposited by water and wind. If you ever had walked along a stream or beach you may have noticed tiny sand grains, mud, and pebbles. These are some of the sediments that form sedimentary rock. There are three major groups of sedimentary rocks: Clastic rocks, organic rocks and chemical rocks.First Clastic rock.A Clastic rock forms when rock fragment are squeezed together.Shale and sandstone is a common Clastic rock.Shale forms from tiny particles of clay. Then the Organic rock.Organic is forms where remains of plants and animals are deposited in thick layers.Coal is an organic rock.rock. Coal forms from the remains of swamp plants buried in water.Limestone is an organic rock too.Limestone form in the ocean, many living things, including coral, clams, oysters, and snails, have shells or skeleton made of calcite. When these animals die, thier shells pile up as sediment on the ocean floor .The last one is chemical rock.Chemical Rock forms when minerals that dissolved in a solution crystallize.Gypsum is an chemical rock form by evaporation.Large deposits of rock formed by evaporation form only in dry climates.
